An official meeting of representatives of partner universities forming the European University consortium entitled "Step2Green Europe - “One Health Approach for a Green University” (SELENE) took place on January 23, 2024, in Brussels.

The meeting was attended by representatives of partner universities from France (Polytechnic Institute UniLaSalle), Germany (South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences), Italy (University of Messina), Romania (University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest), Slovakia (University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice), the Netherlands (AERES University of Applied Sciences), Turkey (Ankara University), and Poland (University of Agriculture in Krakow).

  "European Universities" is a network of universities working together through transnational alliances or agreements to support the quality and competitiveness of European academic education.

The meeting aimed to discuss the main aspects of the project, and the culmination was the signing of the mission and strategy of the alliance (SELENE) by the Rectors of the partner universities.

The University of Agriculture in Krakow (UAK) was represented by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation - prof. Andrzej Sechman, Chair of the Rector's Committee for International Cooperation - prof. Małgorzata Kotula-Balak (University Center of Veterinary Medicine; Institute of Veterinary Sciences UAK), Head of the International Relations Office of the UAK - Dominika Dankiewicz.

The result of the consortium's work will be submitted by February 6, 2024, as an application under the "European Universities" initiative (ERASMUS-EDU-2024-EUR-UNIV-1 program - development of deep institutional transnational cooperation) to establish the SELENE European University.
