October 1st to 3rd, 2018 University of Agriculture in Krakow hosted a delegation of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, headed by the Vice President of JAAS prof. Yu Wengui. Chinese revisit was an answer to the invitation from Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation prof. Florian Gambuś, who together with dr inż. Tomasz Czech Director of Technology Transfer Center URK visited the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in December 2017. The Vice President of JAAS prof. Yu Wengui arrived with the delegation of JAAS directors, prof. Zhao Tongmin, prof. Yu Mingliang, prof. Zhang Xiaofei and prof. Zhu Fanglin. The representatives from China held a meetings with Rector URK and Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation prof. Florian Gambuś and other Vice Rectors and many important representatives of scientific community from our University.

Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS) is one of the best, largest and oldest comprehensive research institutions in the field of agricultural and veterinary medicine in China. The Academy is a highly-rated research center, especially in terms of scientific and technological infrastructure, cooperating for the development of research with foreign research centers. JAAS cooperates, among others with the State University of Mississippi (USA), the University of Manitoba (Canada), the National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences of Japan, the State Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA, France) and the University of Murdoch (Australia).

During the meeting participants presented the greatest strengths of the Academy and University. The possible areas of further cooperation in the field of education,  scientific and research cooperation were discussed. Both sides signed the cooperation agreement between, which covers the implementation of research topics and exchange of employees, PhD students and students in the field of scientific conferences, jointly conducted research projects, courses, trainings and summer schools.
