International meeting of CATAlySt Project Partners - 14-16 March 2018
Each innovation becomes a driving force for development and progress, irrespectively of the sector or branch it concerns. Obviously, agriculture is no exception in this respect, However, innovations and their results not always reach the final users, for whom they are meant. Trying to meet the expectations of emerging needs for developing innovation services sector for agriculture, an attempt was made to asses and improve the situation in this respect in the framework of the CATAlySt – Capacity building in agricultural innovation services in CEE countries project, financed from ERASMUS+ Programme, action KA2 Strategic partnerships.
The main objective of CATAlySt project is developing effective materials and training tools aimed at creating, undertaking and improving measures for building capacity in the area of services for agricultural innovations in Central European countries. The assumptions of the project, coordinated by Hungarian Discovery R&D Center, are realized by the invited scientists and specialists from Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, Wageningen University, Holland, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia, University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, Szent Istvan University, Hungary, Local Action Group Felso-Homokhatsag Videkfejlesztesi Egyesulet, Hungary and the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland . University of Agriculture is represented in the project by the employees of the
Institute of Economic and Social Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture and Economics, i.e. Dr. Hab. Jakub Piecuch and Dr. Aleksandra Płonka, who are also coordinators for Polish partner.
International meeting of the CATAlySt project partners which was held on 14-16 March, 2018 at the University of Agriculture in Krakow was devoted to discussion on the project results obtained so far and appointing further stages of its realization. The meeting was attended by 22 persons – representatives of scientific institutions from Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, United Kingdom and Holland.
